2025–2026 Season

 

The Port Alberni Pub League is back for another exciting season of competitive and social play. League action begins Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, and runs through Tuesday, April 14th, 2026. Matches are held every Tuesday evening.

  • League Play: 7:00 PM sharp

 

League Structure

  • Teams: 9 teams of 4 players (36 players total)

  • Format: 3 round robin rounds across 27 weeks of play

  • Round robin style for each match with two games of Scotch Doubles in the middle

  • Breaks: 2 weeks off at Christmas (Dec 23rd and 30th)

Fees

  • Nightly Fee: $10 per player (please no coin)

  • Membership Fee: None for 2025 (no $100 team registration this year)

  • Envelopes containing nightly play sheets and fees must be dropped off by Thursday night at Rack & Rally

 

New Rule for 2025:


When a player from team A is playing a player from team B and team A's player fouls, it is ONLY to be called by the 2 players playing the match. If a player, or friend from team B calls a foul (or indicates in any way that brings attention to it), whether or not it was seen or called by the players involved, it will then be a foul on team B's player. Team A's player will then have ball in hand, if they wish to enforce the foul.

Hopefully this rule will curb the rising number of incidents of exuberant team mates involving themselves in games. Captains must ensure their teams are aware of this rule.
